Värmlands fabulous region of Sweden provides wildlife
with a rich unspoilt habitat, and long warm summers. Visitors
to the area will have chance to see and hear elk, badgers,
foxes and deer and maybe even find the tracks of wolves and
lynx.
The area is excellent for birdwatchers. Sunny Värmland
is home to numerous species of waterfowl, birds of prey, passerine
and non passerine.
In the fields around the house groups of whooper swans, herons
and egrets often gather, and it's not unusual to see the elegant
Arctic loon emerge in front of you whilst lazing along the
lake shore.
Tinghuset also has a resident Woodpecker (Hackspett) who spends
many hours feeding on the horse chestnut trees surrounding
the house!

which is a protected nature reserve.
