In Western Värmland´s lakes and rivers you can catch everything from the common freshwater species to game fish such as salmon trout and char. Relax, enjoy nature, and the sun, briefly interrupted by the excitement of the rod bending and fish pulling!

Fishing off the rocks in Älvik is a great place for catching pike and perch. It's also possible to rent our moored rowing boat for fishing. Fishing licenses can be purchased from the nearest ICA supermarket in Värmlands Nysäter, 9km south of Haljebol.

Glaskogen nature reserve is a rambling wilderness of woodland, hills, marshland, streams and lakes that lies 15km north of Häljebol. There are a multitude of lakes to choose from for fishing in this area, most can be reached on foot. Overnight shelters are also positioned near some of the lakes.
